Anyone own a J5 Telecaster?

Hi all,

I just bought a J5 Telecaster today. Love the look and the feel of it. Just wanna ask if anybody own it too, and could give me any opinion or anything I should take note of.

I welcome any feedbacks from fellow guitarists too.

it's the J5 Telecaster (Black Rosewood Fretboard), the "made-in-mexico" model.

abs loves the J5 tele... infact consult afew of amercia top fender parts maker if they would make an exact headstock for me.. non replied yet.( i am a left handed tele fans)

i think the first series release years back was MIA.

how's the MIM compare to MIA?

haha, i really like the j5 tele but mostly because the stuff he likes on his guitar is the same as mine.. i would like a sweet looking guitar which is a telecaster, a smooth sounding neck pickup like those usual tele pickups and a ultra fierce bridge pickup like the emg 81tw..
yeah, but if im getting one, ill most probably change the bridge pickups to emgs and i dont really like the headstock shape..

ahaa, and it costs so much, id rather get an esp eclipse which would cost much less..

it's ok.. in fact if ypu flipped through Fender catalog.. this model is the most cool looking one.
if a left handed version. will definitely stick out $1k for it.

Did you pay $1,200 for a brand new piece?
That's close to musiciansfriend price (US$899 free shipping within US).
Ranking has 1 piece of the J5 now at a much higher price.

yeah, on some of his models he has a les paul custom style binding on the front and back of his Telecaster...

hes got too many versions of his telecaster..

the double binding thingy is taken from the normal 62 tele custom spec...

This one is different. Custom shop artist model with a fender-bigsby trem, you can buy 6/7 of the common MIM ones with one of this. Killer axe!!

Something like $1550 (with a bag) if I remembered correctly. Didn't try it but it's a beaut. Actually I kinda like the headstock.

i bought it at guitar connection at peninsula.

actually, i've been eyeing at this piece online for quite some time, but couldn't bear the cost.
and that fateful day wasn't intented to be.
i was just browsing thru the shops at the basement, and guess what i saw...?
