anyone fed up with the new soft ad placing format???

There was an issue on commercial selling or something like that.. so yea based on the site owner's point of view.. nope not gona happen.. but ur always welcome to pay for more ads lol
 
I don't like the new classifieds. I really dislike the whole upload pictures thing having a size limit for the photos. I like taking big, clear and detailed photos of whatever I sell, and when they get uploaded they are small and the image quality is horrible. If it were a normal thread I can post all my photos normally and just dump my links from flickr.

You made thsi classifieds to prevent people from bumping their threads. I don't see whats the problem with bumping honestly. It's not so nice to have your ad burried deep in the depths of nowhere. I don't know if it was possible, but TGP prevents people from abusing bumps by limiting members to bumping only once every 24hrs. The system will prevent them from doing it, its not just a rule written down in the forum. No bumping, but instead creating ANOTHER repost wastes even more bandwidth. I don't know. What I say probably isn't gonna change anything, but whatever it is, it's just my humble opinion.
 
Kinda have to agree to the low quality of photos part. Even when i have resized it to an acceptable size, the server will make it smaller. Then what's the use of the supersize button?
 
of course not , I'm referring to selling things sincerely as a real human being. when people can see your profile and that you're a real person and that you're reliable. the trust is there ain't it? it's just like ebay feedback system but with a face i guess.

the only thing is... by "tolerating" soft's classifieds ads system, you get a better "marketplace" to sell in than just random walks of life from ppl on fb
 
Yea totally agree with you. I'd rather buy from a friend, than a total stranger whenever possible.

Thing is, even though soft's classified system is in its primitive stage, it does provide a more focused target audience. I know facebook's market place is selling all kinds of weird stuffs.. not much music related.
 
Simply put the buy sell section is alot quieter now..

My suggestions -

Allow only soft members to view classified ads.
Allow only soft members with a certain post count/rep count to post ads. (also, bring back the rep count on personal profile)

Allow for more interaction between softies and reduce aeroplane flying/lowballing cases when you know you have a soft id and you can be blacklisted?
 
There's a "Seller/Buyer Feedback" function. Simply click on the user's name -> Feedback.

As for the image size/quality, will try to improve it.
 
Yea, should encourage buyers to give comments/feedback so other softies can take note of them. But the truth of the matter is, it is free to create an account, and it is easy for anyone to screw up and create another account. So... ultimately, there is no one solution; Just a compromise within this little community of ours, and our effort to maintain it well.
