I've been though of selling my classical guitar and i had post it online but with no reply so have anyone have any idea which place i can sell my guitar that can have a better price ty=)

Online post should give you best price when it comes to sales / purchase...in comparison to shops...shops most likely will take middle / high end models

If nobody replies there are a few possibilities:
1. Your guitar is in a very low end side
2. Your guitar is in a very high end side
3. You're setting a price that is too high...take note of market price for respective item
4. The mixture between [1] and [3] or [2] and [3]

Sometimes the right people didn't see the post...
Just keep posting. Out of curiousity, what guitar? Mostly stuff doesn't move cause it's overpriced, really. Either that or it's a big ticket item.

IMO the market for classical guitars is not very big. You could put it at a store for consignment meaning u take back a certain percentage of what they sold the guitar for.

also, sell to guitar shop > cash converters

Hi! srry for the late reply because rather busy with my school work so for my classical guitar is CGS104A i bought it from yamaha store at plaza sin.i post it online i sold my guitar with tuner and bag at $150 as i bought the whole set at $230.By the way for this website they only allow to post on the ads for 5 times right so no point posting it if no one see it so i thought of selling it to the store instead! =)

2nd hand stores would not offer you a high price because they themselves need to make some money. Classical guitar is quite hard to sell. I guess for you it depends on the market demand, not the price. If no one is looking for a classical guitar, no one would buy it no matter how reasonable your offer might seem. however if its dirt cheap, that's a different story.

Classical guitar can try to sell to schools, they have budget for musical instruments but don't expect to get back alot of money for it as they are only looking to buy beginner grade classical guitars.

What kind of top is the guitar? solid or laminated? Based on my experience, laminate top are harder to sell somehow and usually can't sell back much.
Best to sell to schools (i guess) as suggested if u really can't sell it..

actually just out of curiosity sake, how do you approach a school telling them you have a classical guitar for sale? who do you look for? don't they all have some form of security these days?

Can't really say, it's quite a reasonable price you're setting, assuming that it's less than 1 year old AND the price 230 is during discount period (This should be the price taken into account, as Yamaha regularly held a sale)

But usually my concept of second hand stuff(Guitar in my case):

Preowned Premium Stuff (Taylor, Musicman, Gibson, etc) I'll only buy when the price is at most 75% of the new price
Preowned Common Stuff(Yamaha, J&D, etc) I'll only but when the price is at most 40% of the new price

Why so low for the common stuff? because the practically have very low resale value...usually I end up giving away the common stuff to my church affiliations in Batam where they can make better use of the things, rather than me selling it and lose a lot :)

This is my concept only though.

Well there is one way. You do that through friends... lets say.. u have a fren or any network who CCA is guitar ensemble, you may be able to sell it through him. Who knows someone in that CCA might just buy from you. Many join guitar ensemble without owning a classical guitar... some don't even know how to play one..
