Any reviews for PRS Tremonti SE guitar???

Try HC reviews and note down the negative points.

My own experience was that it's an excellent and pretty well made beginner/intermediate guitar. With pups change, you can get more mileage out of it.

had one before, but alas, GAS had me sell it for a strat...which i then sold for a tokai...kekeke...neverending story la..
anyways, it was well made, loved the neck feel. thot it was a great rock/metal guitar. i stuck with the pups altho it seems a pup change will be better.

Oic... haha.... thanks you guys, i hope to have more info, anyway, how much did u get it? as in the price?

Tremonti SE review coming soon- i'm arranging for another try-out. FYI, there's a sticky on gear reviews, do place requests there 8)

Davis was selling it for $850 before the lawsuit, I don't know if they've restocked on it at present.

that's a broad conclusion pertaining to tone & price. there are countless budget units, especially subsidiary brand names, which are exceptional for the asking price.

with regards to the Tremonti SE- there's no harm trying & liking what you hear.

this is very true, alot of budget guitars sound great. i have had tried several se models though, including the tremonti, and they just aren't up so spec compared to something similar, like the g&l tribute line. i play a mccarty and some of my friends have other prs models like the hollowbody and custom 24, and the tone from the se seems really bland to me compared to the us made models (might just be the pickups? or maybe i played a lemon). i'm all for trying guitars to see what you like though. i picked an ibanez am73 over a real 335 when i was looking for a jazzbox because i liked the tone better.

we tend to measure the SE up against the real PRS wares, the differences between these units are rather marked. in any case, PRS didn't produce the SE range as a budget alternative of the PRS version, this philosophy was made clear when Paul himself highlighted that SE models were missing integral inclusions eg: Tremonti SE has no maple cap. in any case, the SE units weren't conceived to replicate the original PRS versions.

on the SE models as a whole, i've utmost respect for these units per se. they are above average. there are definitely misses amongst the bunch.

You guys think that which colour is better? kinda in a dilemma... the platinium or black?

IMO it isn't important- colour doesn't contribute to tone/ playability.

on the other hand, black is a common colour, too common in fact (i avoid black for my guitars, unless there's limited choices).
