So any personal experiences or opinions to share?

BTW where did you get the info from?

I only know that Luther's carries MIJ strats. Tried asking GG but the uncle could not provide any real info.

the pic on the ST68-58TX, show a maple fretboard but the specs read "rosewood". I thought the sixties model come with rosewood fretboards?

I think G-string could be right, though i'm not sure of the relationship between year of production and type of wood use. But from the color of the fretboard, the lighter one 3TS-M does look more like maple then rosewood, which is darker in color. Maybe the M means maple.

from what i know... 62 reissues are rose wood fretboards and the 57 reissues are maple. these are vintage reissues ...but then again fender has TOO many reissues and models

i understand the confusion now. The second spec is for ST62G-80TX, however the picture inserted between the heading of the spec and the details of the spec is ST68-85TX/3TS-M. I googled it, and the fretboard of the 3TS-M is indeed maple.
