Any Good Guitar Magazine to recommend?

What about guitar techniques, how much does it cost? Compare guitar techniques and total guitar, what are the diff and which would you prefer? Pls state why...

Thanks for the input guys/gals...

Guitar Technique - Lessons and more lessons, you can never finish all the lessons in one month. In fact I ocassionally dig out some 1999 mag to play some Vai stuff. My fav.

Guitarist - Good gear reviews, some good lessons on some genres. A well rounded mag. A lot of stuff to read. Will create a lot of GAS!

Total Guitar - News/gossip, gear review, intro lessons (IMO they are quite basic). Good for starters, I started buying them when I was a kid then I go Guitarist, then now I only read GT.

All comes with CD, all from future publishing in UK. I personally don't like mag from across the Atlantic as much.

Haha... char... really appreciate that... I have just gotten total guitar... apparently it is something I am looking for... haha... I also have guitar techniques...

GT is really good as a teaching material, where as TG is more holistic with materials on artist and gears and all things to spur interest. 1 thing to beware though, for beginners like me GT is a bit high on difficulty level and the whole mag is lesson thru out... might kill interest if you are not serious.

Luckily I am at the stage where I won't stop playing the guitar... entertainment and leisure wise... TG is my man...

Now there is one disadvantage, my wallet is crying... might have to decide focus on 1 mag nxt time... trouble brewing man....

Good to hear that you like TG. I think its a great all rounded mag. It used to be quite brit pop heavy years ago, but I've lost touch now.

Beware, these mags will create a hole in the wallet. And those gear reviews will create sleepless nights thinking about them  I try to be selective when I buy them i.e. only get them when featuring my fav player or have my favourite songs. (I like Gilbert, Vai and Satch  )

Can't wait to get this month's GT and learn Paul Gilbert's Scarified or something like that.

Cheers
