Any fans of Dissection?

I've been getting hooked to this band that were once known as a black metal band but now, more of a melo-death metal band... I got hold of 'Reinkaos', the latest album from this 3 piece band. It's impressive in my own opinion, but i'm sure long time fans dislike the album... Anyone who got hold of their album and is a fan of Dissection, share your views...

i had the album on review here but the review section is on hold in the mean time.

it's a drastic change from its predecessors. it's adequate but nothing too appealing. i like the overall production & SET's guitar work here.

I quite like listening to it for a change, but it doesnt compare to The Somberlain and Storm of the Light's Bane.

I really liked In the Storm's Light Bane, especially the song, Where Dead Angels Lie.

Loved the vocals.

Now, Diabolical is perhaps one of the most intriguing release to me, this year.

There seems to be a change in it's genre... Less black, more melodic death... Perhaps that's the reason why longtime fans of Dissection aren't too pleased with 'Reinkaos'...

you're refering to DISSECTION right?

the latest offering is VERY different from the previous ones but it's a worthy release, especially when Dissection is about to be disbanded. DVD also to be released on 31st July... in any case, i bought Reinkaos to check out SET TITAN's guitar work- i simply respect this man's efforts, even in his Aborym days.

i really hate to label laid back metal as xxxx-and-roll because by doing so, i'm embracing some music journalists' inadequate vocabulary.

Oh yes, if you don;t have the first 2 yet, these are definitely must-gets. Storm of the Light's Bane is way up there, IMHO.
