Any experience with the PRS Swamp Ash Special?

as far as the manufacturer's claims go, PRS guitars would live up to them and more.

L3stat, Davis does have competitive PRS pricing! Except for the singlecut trem modern eagle which should have cost USD$5.5k + abit more for shipping, the rest are at great prices though. Besides, you can try out what you're purchasing here and you can't if you import. Not to say that there are any bad PRS guitars out there, but there will be minor tonal differences between each guitar of the same make and one will certainly jump out at you more than others. Get the best of the best for your money's worth you know? :wink:
