Any drummers here are using cymbal/s from the Zildjian A Custom Rezo series?

Oh oh and if you're going back anytime soon can please help me check out the prices of some cymbals?

Namely the K custom dark series (ride 22", crash 16",18"), K splash 8" and 14" K/Z hihats. No obligations but maybe if you happen to go there again and love looking at gear... haha sorry for the trouble :S

Lol ... damn ... not in time to go back and check out for you. But if i'm not mistaken, the K custom dark for 18" shd be around HKD2k. K Splash was something like HKD900/1000 (shd be less). If i go again (last day i'm here is tmr), i'll try to let you know but no promises.

Whatever it is, its sure cheaper than Yamaha lah .... :P

Waaa, i am jealous now! hahahaha, I was in hk during March, Please visit Parson music at Whompoa garden.. I got an pair of Vault hi hat for my church at $250 for their sale and i saw Vault artisan rides at $350 or even $300! The black beauties there are ridiculously well priced, if you are ever lucky to find one haha,

Btw, There should be some Dw snares there going at $600 sgd, as well as Zildjian K custom rides at only $280, try to go round Hk looking for other tom lee branches than the main one, The main one is set up to serve the overseas customers while the other smaller shops are giving "local" prices to the residents there, hope that helps :)

Will try to chk out Parsons @ Kownloon Tong tomorrow since i'll be there in the morning for work. :)

Hmm ... if anyone is in for a China ... this one is sweet ... Sabian Vault Holy China 19" going for close to S$450!!!! The looks and SOUND is a killer!!!!

Oh wow if its really 2k for a crash then thats quite a bit cheaper, but if 900 for a splash thats more expensive than here HAHA.

And I don't really like sabian somehow. Probably the logo isnt that nice. Plus I love the sound of zildjians in general :D

Sorry, no chance to go back to Tom Lee to chk out prices again. Anyway, prices are all before disc .... :P

Saw a Sabian Paragon China 19" for abt $220 after disc at Parsons!!! Super tempted to buy but alas ...........

Its okay! heh im still going there anyway so i'll save myself the surprise. will prob have to drag my parents around for me though since I don't speak cantonese :S

I don't like paragons, but what other stuff do they have at parsons? I kinda read their stock is rather limited.

Oh and edrummer if you're still reading erm I read that you got your K custom hybrid 16" crash in HK for $180? Would that be at Tom Lee during sale? And are other cymbals similarly priced or did you get a steal :D

Hey pal, yeah, thats the one and only cymbal which i got it, because i am fluent in cantonese, those guys thought that i was a local and gave me their local price, You should go and buy your drums with a local Hk fren! haha,
K ride there is typically $280 sgd, the next round to hk, i will dig home a dozen cymbals, LOL.

Yeap, went to the main branch at the basement. The cymbal displays are at the back ... next to a few rows of music books and where parents sent their kids for music classes. Yeah, i think the HHX evo 18" were going abt that price.

Yup, and there is the meinl percussion, roland electronic drums and ludwig snares there right? Awesome place, i was buying home cymbals for my frens from there and the lady boss was smiling like mad, When u purchase all at one shot, they can even give you extra 10 or 20% discount!

Yup ... saw them all ... they had more Ludwig snares there though ... the lady boss - ie. the older looking lady ya? I'm sure she could give additional discount ... but they were having 15% discounts for all cymbals and 30% on the Paragon series.

OH YA GUYS SOME STUFF TO ASK.

Erm which branch of tom lee do you guys usually go to? Like erm they give cheaper, not so commercial prices and yet there are still a good selection of drum stuff (zildjian cymbals in particular) :D

and can anyone recognise the splash the drummer in this song uses? I kind of like it and the symbol looks familiar but i cant put a finger on it. I think its an awesome song too so...

Hi, i would go to the main branch at the hong kong side, (not the kowloon one), and speak in cantonese, and ask them to get me all the stuffs iwant and send it to my hotel room if possible,
Btw, the splash is a Paiste alpha 10" thin splash :)
