some chaps who are just starting out wouldn't want to spend too much with their initial budget... but there are very few of us who would want to let go of their guitars for that much money

yeah but the thing is, wtb, they include gibson, fender among the choices.
its abit absurd dont u think? budget of 200..
anyway, if those softies are so desperate to own a guitar and they cannot afford to get a good one, then thats they're own decision. maybe they're just impatient and want one real fast instead of saving up to get a more decent guitar. but obviously, they'll regret because i believe its very difficult to find good guitars within that range. they'll probably end up with some china made guitar with no truss rod

the trend which i noticed, is the trend of people starting threads to talk about the trend of others.
either modern ppl more angtsy or that more new members who came later are angtsy or people who are part of the trend of angtsy people starting threads on others bout thier behaviour becoming more common of which is a form of angtsy release like the man with erectile dysfunctional problem waking up one day to realised that he is no more a sad man and thus proceed to start standing up, proud.

yes that sounds just like me. my friend wanted to sell me a start for 50 bucks and it looked like a "common" strat (ie black body with white pickguard) and i thought all strats were fenders >.<
oh well and i now know that 100-200 bucks will get you quite a sucky guitar lol. even my warlock cost me 300.
i don't get what you just said. although the part about threads to complain being more common now is kinda true.

Haha i sell you my peavey raptor, sand off the logo then put fender, then how? 200 is fine with me :lol: After all, they wanted the Fender name right....even at 200 bucks also want branded....then have to settle for alternative just like how aunties get their fake LV wallets at those pasar malams!
