Andy Timmons showed everyone that:

*restrained playing is as refreshing as speed inclined music
*inspiration often spurs one to give off one's best
*a good ear is as important as theoretical knowledge
*Ibanez + Laney = good tones (personal preference, really...)

i'm a little disappointed that there were no technical insights on his gear, namely the Ibanez guitar & the Laney stack- maybe time didn't permit... 8)

My own insights from the clinic was the level of maturity in Andy's phrasing.

During the jam, the simple licks he played really stood out and were very well phrased.
