Any Anberlin fans over here?

Rumors are going around that they'll be coming back here again some time this year. Though there's no news of it on the myspace and official website, their CDs were on the 'live in singapore' rack the last time i popped over to heeren HMV. Anyone know anything?

I'll love to see them back here, but rumours, sadly, are rumours till someone confirms them. I do hope they'll come back, A levels forced me to skip their concert 2 years ago.

Wonder whether VR will be opening for them again. That'll be cool if they did

i love this band. i missed them with copeland when they came here. hopefully they will be here again this year

haha yeah if they'd only come back with copeland too! and yes VR to open for them.. and the fire fight! :D okie if anything gets confirmed just post here la! i'll keep an eye out too.

Oh yea since anberlin fans are here, Stephen Christian(Anberlin) and Aaron Marsh(Copeland) has a side project called Anchor & Braillie (not sure if spelling is right)

Yea, 2 music genius put together. Cant wait for the album

nignag, the spelling is Anchor and Braille. ;)

Wow it would be awesome if they came again and if VR or TFF opened for them. I hear TFF is in the process of mixing their new album. Can't wait for it to be released!

hey chaps, thanks for the kind words. VR would definitely love to open for Anberlin again! And i'm sure TFF would be dead chuffed to open for them again. They are indeed mixing their new album, and just like most of you i'm looking forward to hearing it. But not sure if we'll ever get the chance to open for em... here's hoping we'll be part of the deal if it ever happens again.

Stephen Christian is such an awesome dude. Here's a backstage story for you. A friend of mine who was in Perth called me badgered me into passing the phone to Stephen so she could talk to him. I was like "you're CRAZY! I'm not going to barge into their backstage room and pass the phone to Stephen like, 'Oh hey stephen, call for you'. Anyways you're gonna see them again in Perth and you get to talk to him face to face!" But she insisted and so I worked up the courage to open the door, preparing to be rebuffed. I walked in and said as casually as I could to Stephen, "Hey Stephen, I have a friend in Perth, she really wants to speak to you. Would you be so kind as to oblige her?". He was all smiles and down to earth charm, and graciously took the call. Very blown away by his manner - no rockstar airs from him.

After the show, my friend from Perth called and asked to speak to Stephen again! The nerve of some people... tsk. And so once again I went up to Stephen and said something to the effect of, hey my crazy friend in Perth wants to talk to you again, would you mind? And again, he's all smiles and down to earth charm and he takes the call. Such an amazing guy. All rockstars should be this nice. Learnt a lot from him, and all the other musicians I've opened for, shared a stage with or been an artiste liason for.

awesome. I quite like their stuff too. Good to hear that they;re down to earth dudes. or just Stephen Christian for that matter.

YEAH if they come The Fire Fight and Vertical Rush MUST open for them! :D

Really hope it's not too late in the year though. I enlist in October! Nawww..

Anyway, glad to know there are Anberlin fans around here on soft..

cheers!

I quite liked New Surrender much better than their previous albums, although I must wonder why their first two singles, "Feel Good Drag" and "Breaking" were even singles. Yet again, different people different tastes. I prefered Retrace, Soft Skeletons, Disappear and Miserable Visu (Ex Malo Borum). Yet again, those tracks can't beat "Godspeed"

Sui if they're coming August I'm going down!
Although they're being quite elusive about the tour dates. Latest tour updates they have is until August 15... Hmm... I wonder..

And FYI, Anchor & Braille doesn't really involve Aaron Marsh in the full. He only produced it, so technically Marsh isn't part of it. Argh, complicated

I thought the remake of feel good drag was really good. But i don't think "Breaking" should've been a single. Other songs like "Retrace" and "Soft Skeletons" so much better. Cities, best album.

if the people bringing em in want to make some money from fans like us they ought not to make it a secret! if they know what's good for them... ;)

well i prefer both Cities and Never take friendship personal to New Surrender. Just feel like that that's really Anberlin to me.. intense.. both musically and lyrically..

anyway, here's the link for Feel Good Drag for those who haven't seen it. (good quality vid from the company that produced it.)
