An Affordable Decent Distortion Pedal?

bReakOuT!

As stated in the title,I'm looking for a cheap yet decent distortion pedal.Reason being...either the distortion channel on my NuX Might 15 amp is spoilt(if there's such a thing) or it just plain sucks. The gain onboard sounds more like static from a broken TV set than music.
Anyways,I'm looking to play MUSE type of music.I'm wondering if I should actually jump straight to the Fuzz Factory(through the NuX's clean) instead of getting a distortion pedal.

Go buy the Danelectro Cool Cats. They are probably the BEST cheap pedals out there. 30+ bucks for very very good tone. They are Godsend for players who demand good tone but have an extremely tight budget.

Get the Cool Cat Drive, and you might want to try the Cool Cat Fuzz. I don't know how well it'll do the muse thing, but you might want to try it out.

Remember its Cool Cat, NOT the FAB series.

The Nux has onboard effects right? I think you need some tweaking. This guy here can get nice distortion out of it.

hm how do you eq ur amp?

i've tried it once at sv guitars, and its quite a decent practise amp. i pretty much dig its distortion.

imo, explore other distortion/fuzz pedals and find something you like before jumping into the fuzz factory. you might not like it or maybe get a nice tone out of it. but yeah, thats gonna cost money buying and selling pedals to look for the tone you want.

been playing muse for 3 years and only a few weeks ago i started to appreciate the sound of fuzz.

i agree with dudelove's recommendation. love the new cool cats. hahaha. especially the overdrive and fuzz.

Nux gain sucks?Kidding me right?Either the amp or your ears are spoil.

It you really need something to up your tone then check out some modtones from SV Guitars.
