hey, i nid help in getting an amp.

here r some guildlines for us, yup
1) i wan a marshall amp
2) my budget is around $1.5k
3) the amp doesn't really nid to have lots of power (loud or sth), cos is more for home practice than gigs
4) best if that amp can produce tone like slash's
4) r there any more impt considerations?

also, please tell me where can i find the amps too, haha thanks alot

You want a $1500 Marshall that is for home practice? =/ Marshalls aren't exactly boutique low-wattage amps. Why must it be a Marshall?

Mesa Boogie
The Express model.

Wow! Good recommendation. Except we don't have a MB dealer here. If you know who is selling let me know. I have 1.5k to spare.

Sorry for the sarcastic bit which I'm guilty of. I'm tired of unhelpful one liner posts.

My suggestion is for you to wait for the newly introduced Marshall Haze to be brought into local market. But for the same amount there are abundant alternatives.

For a marshall with 1.5k, just nice to get a marshall avt150 head with a 4x12 matching cab.
Im not too sure but the dsl401 might just be in your budget, you'll need to confirm with davis. Otherwise most full tube marshall amps cost around 2000+.

However for 1.5k home use tube, it might be better to get one of these:
vox night train
vox ac15
orange tiny terror
bogner alchemist

Davis Guitar
Marshall DSL401 40w 1x12 tube combo
$1300

Much criticised amp but I've had Boogies and other Marshalls and this thing, for the price, absolutely kills.

Tried, and didn't like, the Bogner and if you are looking for a Slash kind of tone then the Vox amps suggested won't even get you close.

Up your budget by about a $100 and you can get a Marshall Vintage Modern 50W combo. It's meant to be a cross between JTM45 and JCM800. From Bluesbreaker to Hendrix to Slash. And Slash endorses this amp. ;)
