Amp in Japan?

Alright, here is the deal. I want to buy a Roland Cube 15x from Swee Lee. However, there is a possibility that I will be moving to Japan in the next couple of months. I really don't want to have a new but useless amp in Japan. I know that Japan has 2 pin plugs and Singapore uses 3 pin plugs but that can easily be remedied by using an adapter. My concern is the voltage. Japan uses 100v and Singapore uses 220v right? I'm assuming that if I buy a cube 15x here in Singapore it will be 220v and I will have to use an converter. Is this "healthy" for an amp? Any suggestions?

P.S. Admin's I posted a similar topic in the Gear - Bass section by accident. Please feel free to delete it.

Thank you.

i guess you mean a transformer.a transformer will simply up the voltage on from the mains.so lets say the input is 100V in japan.the transformer will step the voltage up to 220V through the number of coils of wire inside, and the output will eventually be 220V.i think it should be alright.it would be the same if you buy an amp in japan to be used in singapore, all you need is a step down transformer.hope this helps:D

You should HOLD that purchase until you move there... Then you won't just buy a Roland Cube...

Probably end up with a H&K Triamp!!!!
