my predictions were good and the winner won by 12 million votes. hes my fav contestant of all the seasons, he's none other than DAVID COOK.

to all Archy Fans im sorry he did not win american idol. think about it, cook still deserve it better! and archy sounded pretty boring even tho he got judges to praise him on all 3 rounds. but even after tt, simon took back what he said yesterday night. phew i was relieved after hearing ryan announced "DAVID COOK". and youtube ppl has been dissing david cook of his dirty look, for me he looked like a rockstar and a real american idol compared to tiny david =). i think david c's brother is suffering from cancer and im not too sure abt it, just heard it somewhere. but whatever he won hahha!

hope to see them both get into the charts and hopefully still cook's songs top archy's again haha. \m/

I think the other guy (the 17-year-old guy) melted hearts because he's like a 'cute boy'. But the superior singer and performer would be David Cook in my opinion.

Cook was the obvious winner after Syesha got voted out. The 17yrold dude can only sing ballads.

He absolutely butchered that duet thing with One Republic. Oh lord.

The Gladys Knight feat Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Mr. Ironman was pretty hilarious!

yeah i also preferred david cook over the other guy, liked the second song he sang , really uplifting, will be looking forward to see what he can offer on his new album

I actually liked the ousted Michael Johns more than anyone else...

He's got the whole package, I feel.

He can definitely sing, has very good stage presence and he looks every bit the frontman and idol.

Oh well.

I guess maybe after seeing what happened to Chris Daughtry (whom should really have won instead of Taylor Hicks, IMO), the Americans finally decided to make up for it by voting for David Cook. Heh... Daughtry and Cook similarities are aplenty to me.

Anyhow... Archy has a good voice but is limited by his ability to perform well only in "ballady" songs. Give him a fast number and he seems "out of it". That wont get you far boy and somehow I feel that sometimes the judges were pretty biased towards him. While Cook's vocal range may not be as wide as Archy's, it's his musical ability shown throughout the season definately brought him the votes cause honestly, Archy's finale performance totally outshoned Cook's.

In the end, I guess the better man won or should I say the only man won of which he truly deserves. Now it should be interesting if he was to bring his band for his debut American Idol record and whether he will "re-issue" his band's previous works which were pretty good too (check out Axium on youtube)...
