Am I good enough?

Hey guys,
I always wanted to try to be a vocalist of a band as I really enjoys singing.
I always thought that I'm a not bad singer.
However, after I tried recorded my own singing, listening to my own voice....
Sad to say I was deeply disappointed.

So now, I hope that I would get some comments from you guys.
To see do I really have the potential of being a vocalist or it is just that I had too much confidence in myself.

I did a short Mika Nakashima - Isolation cover.

Thankyou very much for reading this thread.
And of course, wish to get truthful comments.

alright for a band or summin but not as a solo or acapella(dunno the spelling) thing. Sorry to be so truthful. Kinda hypocritical though, cos i can't sing to save my balls. wish i could

I think it's okay, lol. It always will sound weird with only vocals, try add background music but at a very low volume. it'll sound more normal and you can still hear your own voice clearly.

sup. honestly.it's sounds real flat. and i recomennd if u really serious abt singing. practise with songs with more extreme ranges.lyk utara hikaru.ayumi hamasaki.etc. if u intend to sing 'pop'.only.it's basic and fundemental. go train more and improve.cheers.

Hi!

Your voice has a nice tone and is quite solid. It does sound a bit squeezed though - I think it will sound better if it's more free. The tension is also what stops your vibrato from coming out.

Your rhythm is good, no problems there..

Like Glyph mentioned, your pitch is off, so that's one aspect you'll need to train. Even the nicest voice sounds bad when it's out of tune.

Are you trying to copy the singer you are covering? That might be contributing to tension in your voice. I'd like to hear you sing something like "twinkle twinkle little star", where you'll be using nothing but your own style and voice.
