alternate or economy picking

here's a poll. just curious, how many of u use strict alternate picking? how many of u use strict economy picking? and how many of u just use a hybrid of both depending on how ur solo is structured?

by default i use economy picking unless some special situation like the composer wants certain kind of tone which calls for alternate picking, then I use alternate picking

it's circumstancial for me- if it gets the job done, then i'll pick the economy way

lol. I use only economy picking. Except when it comes to doing tremolo. But never used alternate picking across more than one string. LOL.

Got use before lah. But didnt really enjoy it -,- haha.

hmmm...economy picking seems easier for me. but inside picking kinda makes me lose my rhythm if i'm not going in one motion to the next string =/

personally i use alternate picking most of the time only rarely songs which requires a different picking method for eg, master of puppet then yea i'll swap over.. but personally i feel alternate picking really brings out the groove when you're playing, well that's just me go experiment around u'll find a prefered method of your own
