Guys

I've been a ss amp user and I decided to move on to tube amp
And reccomendations for tube amps?
My playing style is alt rock/ 80s rock and modern rock...

Enlighten me on also the different tubes and how long will they need to be serviced...

Thanks in advance:)

Budget? Tubes usually last for quite a few years if you know how to take care of them well. There's a pretty good amp on sale at Sound Alchemy right now, Jet City JCA20 Combo, will definitely fit your needs

+1 to the Jet City tube combo. It retails at $500-600, which is pretty affordable. Also try woodworkz, HT5s and a Hugh and Kettner at 600~?

I use a VOX NT15. Fantastic amp for the price, and absolutely stunning when cranked in the studio!

It depends on what kinda tone you're looking for. I love the VOX chime.. Yourself?

You can either check out the Marshall Haze at Davis, or Blackstar amps conveniently located at Penin as well!

Why did you decide to "move on" to tube amps? If it's just because of what other people say, save the money and build up the pedalboard you mention in your other thread first.

if you don't know what you are lacking, you are not lacking anything.

you must have a reason to "upgrade". what do you find lacking in your current ss amp that you think a tube amp can deliver?

Actually amp is the last priority... I've have a vox 15r pathfinder now

A fantastic amp nonetheless.

Clean-wise it's really similar to an actual AC30. As a Vox fan I can't stress how underrated a Pathfinder is. If you want a better amp (as in a huge upgrade) then be prepared to splurge.
