Advice on e-drumset

Hi all, i am not a drummer, but i recently received a set of Roland TD9 e-drums that i intend to use to setup a home studio/jam room. The kit itself comes with 2 crashes, and i'd like to upgrade it to include a ride. I've been, and will be extremely busy in the coming months though, and have not had much time to do the required research. Besides, if the research i've done thus far is correct, the TD9 has been around since 2008 (?), though i'm not sure which version this is.

Anyone able to advise if this is doable, and if so, what model of extension cymbal i should get, and how much i should expect to pay?

Would very much appreciate any advice possible. Thanks all!

Dear Liverpool Fan,

You can add on an extra ride if you wish. In fact you can add two more cymbals.

The TD9 Module has a "Aux in" and a "Crash 2". So you can make use of these two inputs to have two more cymbals.

Can get the Roland CY-13r as your ride.

Manchester United Fan. (hahaha)

Ah! I'm so tempted not to take your advice, since you're a Man U fan......hehehehe.

All jokes aside, thanks for the advice! I've taken note of those 2 ports; now i needa find out where to buy the aforementioned ride pad cheap cheap as i'm on a tight budget.

You can consider yamaha pcy135 or pcy155. It works with roland module
It works out of box for crash but for ride just a simple tweak for bow and bellzone
Most importantly it cost half the price of roland cymbals

I see, thanks so much! Could i get a gauge of the price? I'm also not very sure of where to get; i'm far more a guitarist and i've only been around the guitar shops haha.

Go to BeatSpot at Plaza Singapura. Inquire within :)

Top Tip - The Yamaha Mid-Year sale is just a week away. It hasn't been announced, but I saw my friend working on the promo.
