Advice needed for Microphones and sound system

hey, i'm kinda new into this sound gear section so i kinda need some help and advice here, and i would appreciate any form of advice !!! THANKS FOR DROPPING BY!

YEAH, so basically i'm trying to set up a microphone and amplifier for my band's vocalist.
however i'm uncertain on what equipment would be needed.
other than a microphone and an amp...
but what kind of amp is needed?
where can i get it?
what is the actual name of a microphone amp?
the price range for an average budget.
not something fancy but worth each dollar?

are there any other equpiment that i might need to improve the sound?
what kind of amplifier brands should i go for?etc...

for microphones i kinda settle it.
however its the amp that i have a problem.

Hi Reavengeance

You might wanna get a simple PA system. With this, you can plug in keyboards, cd/mp3 player and a few microphones.
