Can I use my zoom adaptor and daisy chains to power up my G2 and other boss pedals? As long as its a 9v adaptor shouldn't be a problem right? or die die must get the boss or 1-spot adaptor for the other pedals?

dude......

your question has been answer in countless different variations on soft.

please kindly do a little search and click your mouse a tad. 5 mins dude 5 mins.

to answer your query.
Yes you can use your adaptor and daisy chain. provided the total drain on your pedals don't exceed what your adaptor is capable of outputting.

And since your adaptor came with your zoom. Im guessing the output is just enough for your zoom only. Check your adaptor to see how many amps its putting out. The rest is just doin the math.

my advise is dont. i'm guessing that zoom adapter puts out 300mA? (just shooting coz i also hv a zoom adapter to power my 707II.) take all your pedals and add all the mA (miliampere) shown on the pedal. if they dont exceed the mA on the adapter, then it's safe to use it lah

Don't assume I haven't done my research. I did. From THAT other thread you people think I post blindly without doing some homework. Ok, lets not get carried away, thats the past. I'm asking because the other threads doesn't give me enough assurance to do it. Thanks anyway for the input.

Hmm.. how you 2 see the amperes on the boss pedals? I can't see it. Not very sure of these voltage thing

its not the voltage.

the bottom of the boss pedal should say the mA drain it needs. typical analog distortion usually needs less than 100mA. It should be on the label. And see your zoom adaptor whats the output. Add up all your pedal's drain. it shoulden exceed your zoom adaptor.

Don't forget to factor in the drain on your zoom also. The drain you can see from the manual or a sticker under the pedal or something. it should be stated.

Chances are the adaptor that comes with your zoom is just enough for that pedal alone. Best bet is still get a seperate 1 spot to power everything.

boss pedals nvr state the mA drain. mayb check the manual or something. if still dont have, just assume that it's 100mA like what ceil said.

you'd be better off buying one spot. solution to all your worries

My zoom adaptor is 300mA so I guess its not enough anyway. But where do you see the amperes? Bottom of my pedals only say boss adaptor models according to AC voltage, some jap and english caution remarks.. and thats about it. Maybe written on the inside on the pedals? Highly unlikely. Maybe next answer I get from someone will be "google it". But anyway now I know have to get another adaptor. 1-spot seems to be favourite amongst people here.

ahhh...no wonder.. I thought I'm going blind. Alright thanks.

Google it.

No, check the Boss website and download each individual manual for each of your pedal. I remember the ampere is stated in the manual.

seriously, get a 1 spot, its only $35

i used to have a zoom g2, and also a g2.1

throughout everything, i used the 1spot, no problems, even powered up a couple of other pedals including a wah when i was using e g2

ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS

the zoom adaptor is crap, besides costing $20+, not coming w/ a 3 pin plug, and only rated to take 300ma

No manuals coz all are 2nd hands. Never thought of checking boss site for manuals though.

Didn't know 1-spot is that powderful. Should have just gotten that and power everything.

think one spot too ex? go get batteries arh. then see how much you spend in the long run.

i tink i speak for eveybody here.
the solution to your problem: buy ONE-SPOT and daisy chain

I had to buy mine which is a waste of money cause should have gotten 1-spot. I know if you look at the zoom and other online site they mentioned the adaptor, but I don't know why we have to buy them here. Maybe the voltage is different.
