I will stick to passive ones, less worry about having flat batts. Wonder if they will ever invent kinetic powered active guitars where movements of the axe or strings will charge the pickups? :mrgreen:
it's a compromise between not carrying extra battery or having greater control of your bass tone. if you are using effects pedals and/or preamp then there's no real need for an active bass, but no one's stopping you haha.
personally i'd go for active, but passive is fine too
