no need to tell.
it's two different things. And acoustic is not a pre-requisite to play electric.

Can't give a specific thing to look out for... both are unique instruments that demand different approaches to playing.

But if your heart is yearning for either one - then wohkay. Change lor.

depends on what you want...

both are very similar in nature except for some technique.....

You can play the electric like an acoustic or vice versa...

It all depends on how deep you wanna go...not so much of electric or acoustic...

Cause I think many tend to associate acoustic with simply strumming...

You can also shred on an acoustic....infact it is even harder if your string gauge is .12s or .13s

changing from playing acoustic to electric is much easier compared to electric going to acoustic.so,anytime u want,it's ur choice.good luck!
