Acoustic Pickups

Hi, I may want to get a acoustic pickup + preamp installed in my seagull acoustic. What are the not so expensive but decent quality options?
Thanks.

Hi There,

You can try the new AER AK15+ acoustic pickup. It's high end but definitely worth the money since you've got a decent guitar. Most equivalent pickups in the market has a compressed signal, bright & thiny typical piezo tone, low output and high noise level. The AK15+ won't give you this problem, that's why you pay so much for the quality.

The price plus installation is S$400.

Hi, sorry should have stated my budget... below 200, thanks.

Hi, if i recall, the guitar4christ.com forum has a few pages discussing this, you can go do a search and see. i've read some and its rather helpful. they recommend lr bagg i beam which is in your budget i think. there are a few other better ones like the LR baggs RTS(i think davis has this) which are also quite good. check out their website. also, i have this page that i found

http://www.dougyoungguitar.com/pickuptest.htm

it tests the different pickups with different styles, fingerstyle, strumming, etc. have a listen and see what suits you and what sounds good. its just a guage but hope that helps.

BBands roughly how much you know? I'm thinking of getting the Lrbaggs M1 active because I don't have to cut my guitar up to install a preamp, anyone knows how much?

Thanks! This helped a lot in my decision..
