Acoustic Modeler or Simulator

I have not tried out the behringer, but I say, don't expect too much from the BOSS acoustic simulators, I have tried them out before, not very fantastic at all, you can only get a mild acoustic sound out of it, best is still to get an acoustic guitar instead. 8)

you can try Zoom A1. It serve as acoustic simulator if you plug in electric guitar.
And it is a very good effect if you plug in a real acoustic.

oh. been doing some reading when I was looking for an acoustic sim last time...

Some people have found good results using an acoustic sim with an electric amp and acoustic guitar. Sometimes, you are stuck with your acoustic and an electric amp... somehow that acoustic sim manages to make it sound much better.

Yo guys

Thanx for the replies.
Daniel, what's ur say abt those articles? any links ?
I'm undecided abt getting the simulator or a real acoustic..had a Big Baby Taylor in mind.
Maybe the next time I go over to Mike of standardvalue, I'll try the behringer.
How much are those piezos? Any good brands? Anybody here installed a Shadow?

those articles where on another forum... it was interesting to read up and stuff.. .

But when I got the acoustic sim to try... i just... didn't use it much in the end. You can hear from my demo link above, its really a simulator.

I would rather go for a real acoustic unless the live situation calls for a supplemant - I've played @ a wedding gig with an electric into a Boss AC-2.

I tell you, MY TONE SUCKED SO BAD. But the guests didn't mind. Even got some molah for it.

Then there's that heavy metal band, Rage... Victor Smolski uses an acoustic simulator live and EVEN on the CD... sounds just oh so fake but its effective in bringing the vibe across.

dont add your ac-3 to ur pedal chain. use it standalone. THIS PEDAL CREATES HELL ALOT OF BUZZ AND HUM MAN!

noisy in the chain like someone above said..
but alone it's ok la..
and its cheap..
so why not get the behringer first..
if you really think you'ld use it then sell the behringer and buy the boss..

yello. dun mind me bugging in. where else can i get the Behringer AM-100? Luthermusic used to have it in their site but its not there anymore.

Dunno about the AC-3, but my AC-2 is doing pretty well! The acoustic tones (although not entirely accurate) is better to an AC-3 that I tried at Swee Lee a while back...

You might wanna consider the AC-2 bro!
