ABY switches, active vs passive? (Radial Bigshot)

I'm looking for an ABY switch. The Radial Bigshot looks great, lots of useful features in a small box, and I know it's got some love around here, but I'm concerned over how a completely passive circuit can safely split my signal in 3 (A, B, and the always-on tuner out) without any side effects.

Seen it on a few gigging boards around here, so it seems proven to me, but I still have that nagging concern about the passive splitting. Anyone can enlighten me on the technical side of this?

I did raise a question previously on this. It CAN do the passive switching really well, hence the asking price. You might want to look at a BOSS LS-2, that's what i settled on. Great little product.

Thanks, I know it can do the passive splitting, which is why I've seen it on a few gigging pedalboards around here. I want to know how it's possible without any signal loss? Or would it be advisable to not use the tuner out, or even use a buffer before the Bigshot?

The LS-2 is a good product I agree but not what I need currently. I'd prefer a dedicated Y footswitch instead of cycling through 3 options and I don't need the level controls.

I'm not entirely sure on the schematics and functions, but you could give blueark/pathein a PM though, both of them were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
