same lah bro.. all import cars kena 100% tax since u buy from outside, and more and more documents will fill ur head soon.

lets just say a tycoon wanna buy a pagani zonda, which is rather common in sg here...

Maintaining the car alone is not cheap but road tax he kena ah, more than 100k's already wor...
pagani zonda???? its not rare in msia, but almost none! i saw once but thats most probably sg's plate.

FYI, total pagani zonda's in singapore amounting to more than 6 confirmed and some say 9...

all owned and maintained by rich businessman, dunno who but they hold a car meeting every sunday all... Im not able to disclose the place they meet but the cars involved would be top of the lines such as ferrari, jaguar, bmw..

all those big sporty cars lah..

event bentley and chrystler!

actually want to say a lot, is not a lot also la.... terry bozzio got more i reckon.

lookat the picture closely... it got about 5-6 mounted toms at most, couple of floor toms, one set of standard remo rotos toms (3)

as for cymbals he got maybe 5 crash 5 splash and 2-3 rides... yah, it is possible and quite a few guys i know in sg collected possibly can have that many cymbals liao (with exception of da CYMBAL KING in cymbal thread  he definitely got more cymbal than this dude)

if u look at bozzio's kit and break it down, he got as many as 10+ china, 10+ splash, 10+ crash, 10 or more rides, 10 or more special effects, maybe 4-6 hihats and i think 4 kick drums. toms-like drums he got at least 20+, if he actually tune to pitch he got chance to have maybe 2 full octaves including flats

well it is certainly overkill for many, but art and music is freedom of personal expression. if u wanna 2-3 kick sounds, u either opt for acoustic or electronic solution. for electronic definitely more practical but if the guy got the time and money is really up to him.

cheers

are we talkin about endorsements?Don't think so.
personal drum equipments are 1 thing, endorsement is another.
if you can afford good quality equipments, why not purchase what you desire and do your ears a favour.

Secondly, endorsements are obviously offered to professional drummers so that people will support that certain brand.Thats just common sense.

Thirdly, having better equipments mean that you will have a more enjoyable practicing and playing experience, rather than just buying low grade equipments that you will regret buying and get annoyed by it's unsatisfactory sound quality.

So what are you trying to prove?that all of us drummers here are not worthy of our equipments?cuz it seems that most of the drummers here haf so called "good quality equipments" and you don't see many "professionals" here.We buy good quality equipments because it will last us a long time and won't cause us to regret what we bought. Not like people who do otherwise and end up wanting to sell off their "zildjian ZBTs etc." within weeks/months of their purchase.

Finally,i believe that majority of the drummers here do not "sux" in playing.perhaps intermediate level or higher.Even if there are beginners ,so what?its just a matter of time before they improve on their playing.

Bottomline:if people have the money,it's their call.Do you think if we can purchase our own cymbals that we would need endorsement?oh please...
Think twice before you post please. You might have offended MANY drummers who have read this thread

wah...power man...it is like a dream to own a set similar to him...eh,i own a zbt crash ok and it sounded good at least to me...i already like no money to buy cymbals...then my zbt kena "condemn"...haha...but nvm...i think all cymbals are good in their own ways la...recently,bought the wuhan china cymbal...satisfied :D....

eh,but crazy la this guy's drum set...if i or we play confirm shiok...and the idea of having a car, lets say a $50,000 car, the money might offer you something like this guy's set...

p.s:hey marcdadrummer,havent buy ur wuhan yet..? :D

farid, have'nt lah. that ahpek said the 18" suare pecah( sound spoilt)... haiyaa dunno ah must try it out b4 i buy.. but he said i must buy than try or somthing like that dunno ah..

and yeah churnz, u pwned the dude haha...

anyone here wanna go to the sales with me or maybe camp or go early?

haha...sure...count me in to camp with you marc...hopefully my pay passes thru by tmr...yea...the one at sims drive got paiste cymbals or not..? :D

Critical comments like that usually comes from jealousy... but hey lets move on and appreciate the sounds of drums and cymbals... playing on a good kit with a basic beat is enough to bring pleasure to the ears... 8)

heh... all cymbal is can one la. of course depending on the person.

personally i find there's nothing wrong wif ZBT.. maybe is super sharp and piercing for many, but i find it has similarities in sound that some drummers look for in paiste rude series... and its a very agreeable price tag, if u starting out and u play like loud hard fast music (like many youngsters do)... furthermore as time goes by all cymbals will sound mellower (no matter how well u maintain) it will sound less bright with time, who knows it will sound pretty fine.... (hope someone keeps a ZBT set and use it for 10-15 yrs to try try.....hahaha)...

cheers

eh? wads happening....... swee lee got sale again ah???  me super out of touch.... shall go find out too... 8O !
