a crap discovery about chorus and some question

hi guys,

i know this sounds crappy but i just got to ask you guys about it.

i've got a really old kapok guitar. the wood on the front part of the body got soft that a portion, till just below the bridge ripped apart at the bottom of the guitar due to tension from the strings. (yes, the strings actually ripped the guitar apart) so the bridge is off position and the guitar is now fit for the trashbin.

i attempted to retune the guitar, amazingly it still played. and i got a nice "chorus" effect from a couple of strings. :D don't know how it happened

so i was wondering if it is possible to mod an acostic guitar so it has a chorus sound?

hope i'm not too crap asking this..

well, i will get a one-time distortion when i smash it. haha..

-more crap warning!-
i figured out the chorus thing is a result of the bridge vibrating when the strings vibrate, since the bridge is not. now talk about a kapok with a tremolo :D (floating tremolo i guess  )

My $89 Symphony guitar endured a thick shaving-down on the plastic bridge piece and now the bass strings got warm overdrive.

Check it out!!!

you can upload on imeem.com
i used acoustic strings on my classical once and it ripped off the bridge. Haven't brought it for gluing yet though...

Hehe I've played a guitar with the neck partly broken and the action is like 3cm. I could get a very good chorus/whammy/pitch shifter effect from the broken neck :P Unfortunately you can only play open chords on it- as in open open  Very whacky nonetheless!
