A/C 9 volts daisy chain power

You could try the Visual Sound daisy chains, they go for $15.

1 meter long inbetween heads and the heads are angled heads, useful when you have tight spaces and pedals with power points located in various places.

Mrmisse and Guitar77 sells them.

I picked up my daisy chain from Davis today, $6. It is pretty good, and I could power all 4 of my pedals using that.

Please note that you need to take into account the power consumption of each pedal, so that you don't over load your adapter. A delay consumes a lot of power.

For your reference, some power consumption numbers are here:

Power consumption for some other pedals:

So far I've seen two adapters from Boss, one which delivers 250mA and the other gives 300mA. Check the power rating on your adapter.

Visual Sound's 1000mA if im not wrong.

Those are the old 1Spots.

Its been upped to 1700mA. Who cares abt the Boss adaptors? Noisy and don't power anywhere near what the 1Spot can do.

Cool, maybe I should have a look at the 1-spot next time I'm around city hall area.

You're right about the boss adapters, they are not really noise free. Secondly, even though they say 300mA, I can see the LED on my digital delay is a little dim when I daisy chain it with 3 other pedals, compared to having a separate adapter for it... even though the total current consumption for all four pedals is much less than 300mA. Otoh, it could also be power loss due to daisy chaining(?) the delay was the last pedal in the chain.

I was using the $6 cables from Davis. Think that makes a big difference?

So lets say I got 3 boss pedals (2 dist and a delay) and a wah (example, morleys) . And a 1 spot. What kind of daisy chain do I need? Do I need 1 or 2?

If you use the 1-Spot daisy chain, 1. It powers 5 pedals, if you have more than that, just connect another daisy chain and you can power more. Your pedals have to be compatible though, I think only most mass-market pedals can be powered by the 1Spot, except certain boutique and Line6 pedals.
