a better choice for effect cable

I just want to know what everyone think about:

would u buy a cable for connecting effect that u can custom everything ranged from the
length, color of cable and color of the head, in the cheap price... but not compromise the quality of sound ?

please tell me about your opinion ? :)

in my opinion i think the most cost efficient way to have a clean signal passing through your rig with little lost in tone would be to have a good buffer at the front and end of your signal chain. This would reduce the impedance of your guitar signal which would allow it to "live longer" and breath better through the pedals.

perhaps you could "benchmark" your signal integrity by comparing the clean sound of your amp plugged in to the guitar with n w/o the pedals in between. If you hear a distinct loss of tone maybe u should consider taking out certain pedals that are contributing to the tone loss.

Hi there, In my observation, I find that a small patch cable or two won't colour the tone much. If you've got a bunch of effects pedals, then I would suggest getting better cables to lessen the load. I used to use those decent and affordable few bucks a piece patch cables which worked fine, but if you use headphones and A/B it against higher quality patch cables, you might be surprised. I was, that's why if possible, I would go for higher quality patch cables and jacks. I am currently using a mixture of Bullet DIY cables and the Muztek patch cables with Switchcraft jacks. Good luck and have fun experimenting! :)

... Did anybody even read the original question?

I wouldn't care for coloured cables, and I can already customise what I want at TYMC very cheaply.
