57 mini twin amp work with Boss PSA adaptor

Anyone has got this problem? I got a new Fender 57 mini twin and i can't get it to work with my Boss PSA 9V 200ma adaptor. Tested the adaptor with my SD-1 it works but not with the twin amp. Have not got the chance to try with battery yet. There's also a ribbon in the batt compartment. Should I pull it out to 'activate' it?? HelP!

leave the ribbon alone. it's meant to be an eject contraption if you wish to get your battery out of the compartment.

try another adaptor, one with variable voltage- it might work. i'm using battery.
