i just need some information and i was hoping you guys could help...

are there any other 2nd hand shops in singapore? other than Guitar connections...shops that don't have dings on their guitars...ones that are of 2nd hand guitar prices and are in good conditions...

any?

When hunting for 2nd hand guitar with a 2nd hand budget it's best to be realistic and not expect too much and just accept the facts that dings on such grade of guitars are norms. Of course there are 2nd hand guitar in good conditions but they usually command a slight higher premium so best be prepare to pay for it if it really tickle your fancy.

i rarely see people selling what i want...there was this guy who had an s470..but it was a lil expensive with the EMGs...

cash converter's guitar are a tad bit over priced. All their strat style guitars are priced at about 149+/- whether it's in a good condition or not. SOFT is one of the best places to look for 2nd hand stuff. Or Guitar Connection.

Hmm.

Have you tried Guitar Workshop? Located at Bras Basah complex, same level as Swee Lee, tucked into the corner behind Art Friend.

But as mentioned previously, do be realistic when looking at 2nd-hand instruments... obviously if it is in mint condition you can't expect the owner to reduce the price by a large margin.

Then again, dings, scratches etc are all part of an instrument's life especially if the previous owner is an active player, not necessarily a performer.

Ibanezfreak, perhaps you could share with us what guitar(s) you are eyeing currently?

yes,my pleasure...

i'm looking for the all so beautiful s470dxqm...only recently have i acquired a sufficient amount of money to get one...but even so,only during a sweelee sale or settling down with a 2nd hand one...it really seems rare in Singapore...i've been on UG most of the time and its a much more popular choice compared to this forum..

Hmm.

Considering the rarity of this model.. wouldn't it be advisable for you to try purchasing it online?

And I would honestly have to say this... wouldn't the time and money you spend trying to acquire this particular artiste model be better spent getting a similar model, and modifying it, and also avoiding the artiste's moniker?

What are the specifications in this model which you seem to find so irresistable?

how about S1540FM? cost you around 1k including shipping. there is also a 03' S-470 DXQM selling at Jemsite 550 USD.

If im not wrong, IbanezFreak has around $500+ to spend on the s470.(refering to his old threads)

Basically, alot of guitar stores buy down used guitars marhs...(g77,ebenex,GC)

Can always try classified ads or the forums... Nego with the seller...

TRy Dan Music 4th floor Penisula shopping CTR - be sure to bargain by at least 30% for 2nd hand stuff

...there are more shops in peninsula? always thought they were only on the bottom most floor...and 600 SGDdollars mind you,i got a bit lucky with saving up...

and..i'll really try to keep buying another type of guitar my second choice...are there only so few 2nd hand shops in singapore? But yeah...buying the similar series might be a good idea...but only if i am unable to get a s470...

anymore suggestions? apparently sweelee brought in a couple a few weeks ago and they play real nice...too bad they were purple...

wait..somethings wrong...s470s are korean made...they don't have ZR2 bridges...why does that one in the pic have one? but yet again...the quilted maple and inlays prove otherwise...
