24 fret hss stratocaster?

Hi guys, I wonder if there is a 24 fret hss stratocaster shaped guitar so that I can put a single coil sized humbucker pickup for the neck pickup so that even with the 24 fret neck the tone will not be affected as the neck pickup is shifted down? I read about the harmonic nodes being shifted down whether or not that is true i don't know as some people said that the node shifts anyway when you fret a note, so it only affects open strings. But the fact of the matter remains that the neck pickup, if a humbucker is used, will be shifted down, making it more trebly.

I'm only for a guitar like the JS 2400, but that is HS I want a HSS stratocaster/superstrat. If you notice that is the only guitar of Satch's that has 24 frets and a neck single coil- the rest has 22 frets and a neck humbucker. That shows something.

Also, with the mini humbucker, to get a fendery sound, do I coil tap or is it possible to coil split?

only the HM strat has 24 frets. even so, it does not have the PU configuration that you want.

I believe what you are looking for is more of an Ibanez guitar. I would recommend you to look at the RG560.

I also found the jackson soloist SL1 and SL3 as well as the LTD M-100 but I think I would prefer Ibanez thin necks. How does a Jackson neck compare to a Ibanez neck?

the neck pickup is a single coil sized humbucker, DiMarzio's Mo' Joe DP216. Satriani has his guitar wired for this pickup to operate in single coil mode as well as parallel connection.

the JS2400 is a very recent development. if it shows something, it shows satriani's keeping his preferences & having options along the way. if the switch in the neck is a 100% neck single coil then it really shows something else

is there a 24-fretted HSS guitar out there? the Highway 1 Showmaster is one... discontinued though but still available out there...

yeah what I meant was, for a guy like him when he decided to explore 24 frets, he decided to have single coil sized pickup in order to keep the tone, so that demonstrates that the position shift for a humbucker to make space for an extra two frets really does affect the tone.

I'm interested in having a single coil sized humbucker, not a true single coil as well. Would hot rails do the job? Will it sound as beefy as a true humbucker?

it doesn't affect tone per se; not that much. what it does affect is the harmonics generation.

the general misconception here is that the single coil sized humbucker won't out-beef the full sized version but it's what one hears coming our from one's amp. i own Duncan's Hot Rails & have it in the bridge position of my Tele & there's never a lack of punch in any way:

even the full-sized humbucker won't sound punchy if it's not voiced to be one by default

Neck: Duncan Lil' 59 (ironically, this version has more beef than the full-sized version. Duncan made it to churn out a higher output + more midrange...)

Middle: DiMarzio Fast Track 2

Bridge: DiMarzio PAF

you're turning me green by the minute. that's one nice guitar. So right now i'm deciding between the fender showmaster highway 1 and the ibanez 560 and the jackson soloist SL1 or SL3...

the nature of the pickups over-rides the tone it produces pertaining to its position...

actually the key differences between your selections are the choice of wood and tremolo systems. find your preference and search from there. pickups can buy later haha.

wood choices would be defeated by dominance of electronics once the instrument gets amplified. it should be the fundamental consideration when buying guitar but do not believe it would conclusively produce a perceived tonal response especially so when the majority of us today do not employ a straight through plug-in.
