Join the 2nd Edition of Youth Music Matters!
We’re searching for the hottest young bands (ages 16-25) to showcase their talent and battle it out for the ultimate prize: a chance to perform at the iconic Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix this October – and other major events.
Winning Band Prizes
The winning band will have the incredible opportunity to perform live at Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix this October. ,In addition, they will:
- Music Matters Live (26–28 September 2025 | Performance date TBC)
- Be invited to attend All That Matters, Asia’s leading music and entertainment conference, at the Hilton Hotel (29 September – 1 October)
- Perform at another events (details and dates yet to be announced )
Organised by Branded – the team behind the renowned Music Matters Live festival – together with iconic Singapore music stewards Timbre Group, this exciting initiative is set to discover and nurture the next generation of Singaporean music stars.
Entry Requirements:
- You must be in the following age range: 16-25yrs. (the majority of the band must be 25 or under)
- You must be currently residing in Singapore .
- You must be in a group of 3 minimum - 6 maximum performers.
- You must have original songs
- Performance material to be in English.
- You must be available on the given dates to standby if selected, to register and perform!
- * This is not open to professional musicians
- A short biography
- Your band's social media links and music platforms links (if you have them)
- Do note the deadline to submit applications is Fri 22 Aug midnight!
- IMPORTANT: Submit a live rehearsal video (1 song, minimum duration: 1 minute). Shared via a video link (this can be a cover song or original)

Please prepare on standby to submit, for the winning band : (This is for the SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX ORGANISER)
- Names of your band members and proof of age (You will need to bring along your ID to registration).
- Promotional items: Your Band photo, biography and any band social media links.
- Production information: A basic stage plot, and your production backline for our reference.
- Each member to provide a passport-style photo (plain background, face clearly visible) for accreditation. Size: 400 x 514px (JPEG)
- Prepare set-list of English songs and lyrics for a 30min set*
**Artist Application Dates
- Wed 30 July: Applications Open
- Fri 22 August: Applications Close
- Fri 29 August : 8 x Finalists Announcement
- Sunday 7 September: Finals
- All results will be notified by email by 29 August. Finalists, please ensure you read the performance requirements stated below
- Please have prepared 2 songs to perform at the finals
- These can be either - 2 originals songs OR 1 cover and 1 original.
Terms & Conditions
Youth Music Matters finals are free to attend events made available to family, friends and music fans.
- All standard backline will be provided by the organiser at the venue.
- All performing artists and entourage are required to ensure they are available for all dates on standby.
- You are to provide all your own transportation.
- Please note all censorship rules for Singapore apply (Only clean lyrics, without profanities and non sensitive topics)
- At the end of this application, please acknowledge the detailed terms and conditions so that your application may be considered.
