The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender C "60s" profile that gets slightly deeper as you move into the higher registers of the fretboard, filling the palm and making chording and accurate lead lines effortless. The frets show no wear at all, and the guitar plays cleanly up the neck with solid intonation and no buzzing or dead spots. Perhaps most importantly, this guitar has a gorgeous ebony fretboard with pearl block inlays, a feature which Gibson no longer offers on their Custom model! The headstock features the signature multi-ply binding with pearloid split diamond inlay and a set of stock Grover Rotomatic tuners which turn smoothly and have nearly flawless gold plating.
The mahogany body and carved maple top feature a gorgeous black nitro lacquer finish accented by bright white multi-ply binding that hasn't even had a chance to begin aging yet. All of the electronics work as they should, and the gold plating on the body shows only the lightest wear on the bass side of the Nashville Tune-o-Matic bridge where the hand rests while playing. The electronics are untouched.
Cosmetically, this is a stunningly clean instrument with virtually no wear to speak of, and the guitar is even free of marks in the pick path. This is an extremely well-kept Les Paul and an excellent example of Gibson Custom Shop craftsmanship.
The original "Gibson Custom" hardshell case is included and near mint and the hangtags are all mint and included along with the hand signed and dated certificate of authenticity
