Hi there, I would like to recommend a Japanese singer named 角松敏生 - Toshiki Kadomatsu, which I come across recently. I chanced upon his concert vids and was drawn by the awesome musicians in his band. One of the Japanese musician which I like, Masato Honda, was playing saxaphone in his band.

Almost all the songs he performed are penned and arranged by him. They are simple and pop-ish. However, teamed with those musicians, the performances were energetic, groovy, funky with awesome display of skills by the musicians on their instruments. Which is not often seen on pop acts nowadays.

After a little researching, I found very limited information on Toshiki Kadomatsu as I don't read Japanese.

Thankfully I found a Taiwanese's blog which summarizes the Japanese Wikipedia on Toshiki. http://derekskins.blogspot.com/2009/08/blog-post_07.html

He started his career in 1981 and froze himself in 1993 until 1998 as a singer.

I suppose this is his last song before the freeze.
