Remarks: Guitar is made to have the well played, worn Fender relic guitar look and feel, similar to the Fender Custom Shop relics at an entry pricing.
Has a slim C-shaped neck profile, with a smoothed out, neck finish, very comfortable to do the SRV/ Hendrix thumb-over grips.
Body has a thin nitrocellulose finish, resonates well and you can feel its presence as the guitar vibrates against your body.
Tried other pickups on it and still think that the stock Tex Mex pickups works best for this guitar, it gives that snarly SRV-styled bluesy crunch when driven, glassy when clean, with a slightly rolled of top end, reminiscent of a vintage guitar. Fender got it right with this one.
Upgraded with a bone nut, installed by Kaycee.
Guitar has been cleaned up, frets shined, fretboard reconditioned and restrung with Elixir Nanowebs 10-46.
A new one is selling at Swee Lee at $1259.
Comes with original Fender gig bag, manuals, tremolo arm and the tremolo back cover.
