Selling a Fender MIM black Strat with black pickguard. Bought it off someone else over a year ago and now looking for an upgrade. Previous owner modded the tone knob to adjust tone for bridge pickup, which is very useful as stock MIM Standard Strats cannot adjust bridge pickup tone (not counting the new player series). Black pickguard is also a customised part as fender does not sell stock MIM Strats with both black finish and black pickguard. Pots were changed to higher quality as well. For some reason, previous owner also scratched off old serial number and replaced with an American serial number (just FYI).
Headstock has slight aged look with lacquer cracking (NOT WOOD CRACKING!).
Specs:
- 21 Medium jumbo fret maple neck
- Modern C shape neck
- Vintage 6 screw bridge
- SSS configuration (3 single coil pickups)
- Plays well as just set up recently
- Set up to 9s
- Stock tuners
