hey guys you all know where can order wood hoops for snare drums?

Currently only 2 places selling maple-hoops, Yamaha and Excel(Ranking& Theme).
Yamaha's selling their maple-hoops(top&bottom) for 14" snare at abt $395 a pair.
Excel's selling DW-PDP maple-hoops(top&bottom) for 14" snare at abt $220 a pair.

An alternative is to purchase from Precsion Drums directly. I am ordering 2 bass drum wooden hoops, claws and tension rods from them. The hoops cost me USD48 a pair.

It might be cheaper.

Depending on the width and whether you want any groove, it is between USD27 to USD50 each. Hoops are made of maple.

I think Kanzer is looking for the Yamaha-style rims, not Ayotte-style hoops.
The 13" at Precision Drums goes for US$70 each.

The cheapest I've seen online are Gibraltar ones..

However, since Kanzer's looking for 13"/8lugs, only choice might be to custom from Precision Drums, cos Gibraltar only does 13"/6lugs.

i think it will just change the rim shot to be louder brighter.. erm and its supposed to create a warmer sound i unno.. haha 12" all must order
