wiring dimarzio's j pickups

Hey guys i bought dimarzio j bass pickups to fix into my new bass. new as in just made so no existing parts inside. i soldered the pickups to the respective volume pots and then soldered wire to the tone pot and then to jack but no sound.
Anyone can help me out please? wiring diagrams or advice/tips? i tried google but i cant get the specific pickup diagram

I'm just wandering whether it was grounded (green and grey wire) and why you soldered to the output jack. Maybe you can be more specific by mentioning the color code of the wires. Maybe the following link helps.

mm. red=hot green=ground white and black i have no fecking idea.

From the pdf:
Solder the red wire of each pickup to leg #2 of its respective volume pot. Solder the green wire of each pickup to the back of its respective volume pot. Solder the black and white wire of each pickup together.

The black and white connect the two coils together.
