Where to get power attenuator in Singpore

Hi Guys,

Trying to see where i can get one to crank up the full potential of my amp without damaging my ears and my relationships with my family and neighbours.

Any place i can get used?

Not sure where you can get, but 2 things:

1) Attenuators are only for full-tube amps. Valvestate and the likes do not count. (I think Vox Valvetronix does though, it has an in-built attenuator that I find really lacking.)

2) You need to match the impedance of the amp with the attenuator. Would be best to get same impedance for the amp, attenuator and speaker i guess.

I'm using the carvin normad....which i think has the imp of 8ohms..

so the attenuator .. er.. wad it does is alter the wattage to increase or decrease output.. (amplitutde) only?
