Wanting to learn the Saxophone

Anyone here plays the saxophone and can offer some advice on the following?

1. How do I get started?
2. Where should I get my saxophone from and what should I look out for? My budget is less than 1k if possible.
3. How much are saxophone lessons, usually?
4. Alto and Tenor sax, what kind for what sort of music? I'm looking more into Kaori Kobayashi or Masato Honda sort.
5. I actually have eczema on my fingers and playing instruments can be quite painful for me, how much 'strength' is needed to play the saxophone?

Thanks in advance! Any more guidance and such would be very much welcomed as I'm still learning!

Try Dan 04-04 peninsula shopping centre. He has 2nd hand saxophone and he gives lessins cheap

I'm also looking for more info on learning saxophone in SG. If anyone can shed some light, that would be very helpful.

Especially about brands. I've heard too many differing opinions on what's good and bad and don't know what to believe now.
