Heyya there!!! ...

how much do you think is an appropriate price for 2nd hand Triton 61 Keys Keyboard Workstation now? .... the silver one ... =)

thanks Guys!!!!

Based on the condition of the KB., I would pay $1100 to $1400 for the Triton...As KORG stopped support for this unit. You wont get the SCSI things now a days...that's a drawback....considering second hand Triton Extreme going for $2000+....It is reasonable that you may inspect the unit and pay in the above mentioned range....

Bong...remember...buy low sell high guy ?? He sold me a Triton 3 years ago for $1600 with SCSI interface.... :D

Buying second hand keyboards from Indonesia or Malaysia ....I would not do that...as they use the keyboards continiously on gigs and shows........(Disclaimer : This is not an offensive remark..this is my personal experience of buying units overseas)

Wear and Tear on those countries are much more...and always preferred local ones...as I have seen what ever I bought from Singapore are maintained in mint condition....

oh well, good advice. I believe Malaysia still has some decent people?
The Triton Studio seller is giving up the synth because he quitted the
church music recording team, so people like him shld be okay.

The Indonesia deal I suspected it might not be reliable, so I didn't
bothered.

Actually to tell you guys, I was such a freak 3 years back when I start
expanding my setup, I went to Malaysia KL just to buy gear. I bought
a Roland MC303, SP808, W30 and a Yamaha AW16G all at rock bottom
prices... but in the end .... sold the W30 away because it was way past out
of date. I wonder how did Liam Howett of Prodigy came up with those
hard rocking themes from this synth ???

lolx ... it was my friend who quit the contemporary scene and going only for classical piano thing .... =)

she gave me her mBox (sadly it's pro-tools 6.0)
and she actually says she'll just give me the Triton as well ....

but i tell her ... nvm, i help her try to sell first .... =P

anybody selling 2nd hand Triton Extreme?? ... =) ... i want 88 keys one ..

wow! you must be a very handsome broke?

FREE ? I only have Pro Tools FREE Windows 98 !? hehe !

mBox maybe can upgrade to PT 6.4 ?

The Korg Triton if in good condition may fetch $1400 - 1600.

LOLX!!!! ....

u ah ..... i'm one of her best friend .... lolx =) ... handsome broke ... mwahaha =P

the condition is still good, the only minor thing is a bit cosmetic defects ....
i think it's because of the silver finish? =P ... cuz too long neva use .....

......... =)

haha... looks like getting OT ???

I got my XV5080 for about S$1200 including shipping
and it comes with 4 srx cards !!! Good deal !!!

it's my current workhorse for now, the pianos and other
bread and butter presets are pretty good consider this unit
launch in 2000.

someone was selling a unit for S$800 sometime ago
and with 4 jv and 4 srx cards !!! Better deal !!!

check out Yahoo auctions, someone selling one at about
S$1500 ?
http://sg.auctions.yahoo.com/sg/i:Roland XV5080:5971510

fyi, I happen to know the seller, he is a gear broker from M-sia.
I believe you can bargain to S$1000-1200.

but if you check out eBay US, you may get deals for only US$400-800.
orried about the compatiability
well, what compatiability problem are you worried?

connect the MIDI out of Triton le to the rack MIDI in,
that's all ! and you can trigger the patches from Triton
le.

next, get a small mixer, connect both equipments
audio out to a mixer and you can hear both togther !!!

so did you manage to sell the Yamaha SY35 ???

ooo ic..thank for the info

just wanted to hear it from someone who had bought it 2nd hand...

i tinking of getting one at $750 without any cards...hahha///

the mixer way i never tot of b4..will try if i ever get a mixer..

NOpe i still haven managed to sell my sy 35...sigh...maybe its destined to be with me forever..its my first synth..lol

well, feel free to ask any question here as long as it is within my reach.
otherwise I think other Softies can answer.

To let you know, if you ever get a XV rack module, besides the onboard presets, you ought to get the JV or SRX cards becos they are better patches than the presets.

do go get a budget mixer eg, Yamaha MG10/2 (< $200) or other small mixer, start connecting your synths to one audio output. Next, get an affordable sequencer software and MIDI all your synths to do some recording !!! Enjoy !
