TESTAMENT (USA)
Testament is an American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1983 under the name Legacy, the band's current lineup comprises rhythm guitarist Eric Peterson, lead vocalist Chuck Billy, lead guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio and drummer Chris Dovas.
Referred to as one of the "Big Six" of the 1980s Bay Area thrash metal scene, Testament is often credited as one of the most popular and influential bands of the thrash metal scene, as well as one of the leaders of the second wave of the genre in the late 1980s. They have also been referred to as one of the "Big Eight" of thrash metal, along with Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus, Overkill and Death Angel.
Testament has released thirteen studio albums, four live albums, five compilation albums, twelve singles and three DVDs.
SEPULTURA (BRA)
Sepultura is a Brazilian heavy metal band from Belo Horizonte. Formed in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, the band was a major force in the groove metal, thrash metal and death metal genres during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their later experiments drawing influence from alternative metal, world music, nu metal, hardcore punk, and industrial metal. Sepultura has also been credited as one of the second wave of thrash metal acts from the late 1980s to early-to-mid-1990s.
Sepultura's current lineup consists of vocalist Derrick Green (who replaced Max in 1997), guitarist Andreas Kisser, bassist Paulo Jr. and drummer Eloy Casagrande (who replaced Igor's successor Jean Dolabella in 2011).
Sepultura has released fifteen studio albums to date, the latest being Quadra (2020). Their most successful records are Beneath the Remains (1989), Arise (1991), Chaos A.D. (1993), and Roots (1996).
The latest release Sepulquarta is a compilation in which the band revisits their back catalogue and songs from Quadra, with a little help from their friends.
HELL FREEZES OVER (JPN)
This Tokyo-based band was founded in March 2013. Guitarist Arai was recruiting the best members he could find since 2011. The group opened for Loudness and Lovebites. The band released an album called Hellraiser in the summer of 2020.
The band prides itself on being old-school with analogue audio and video recordings, hand painted artwork and of course a true metal sound.
For the first time ever, all 3 bands will perform in Singapore at *TITANS UNLEASHED* on 28th September 2023 as part of their South East Asian Tour 2023!
