Thinking of buying my own bulk instrument cable

Was reading up some other forums and when cable discussion comes up, sometimes they mention about buying in bulk and learning/doing basic soldering. Saw a website that ships here. Canare gs6 cables are only us$0.80 a foot, Canare gs4 cables are us$0.42 a ft. Further discounts when buying in greater bulk. While the plugs (amphenol/neutrk)are only us$2-3 each, and flathead switchcraft plugs are us$4 each. Anyone else thinking about this? Im thinking of going down sim lim tower to check out the local prices too.

Well TY sells their Canares at very reasonable prices. A bit more than doing it yourself but minus the time involved and the painstaking troubleshooting involved for a first timer

You can get Neutrik plugs from LHS ? (2nd story, Sim Lim Sq)
They also carry lots of cables, of which i like belden (cant remember the model off hand)
