hey guys
well i was just wondering what most guitarists start out with when playing the guitar.

concentrating on ur technique or on ur theory?

for me i try to balance out the two and improving both together.

the "ideal" method would be to get a grasp on your theory, then on to technique, that way you can improv and stuff easier. but a balance is good. as for me, i've not much theory so, technique's what i try to cover more. also, theory makes me abit zzzz

technique.

Know so much theory but can't create your own melody or can't play it properly is useless

At the end of the day, is all about creating a melody in your head and having the technical ability to play it.

i only have grade 7 piano theory. for guitar i play by tabs :)

what does guitar theory contain, and how does it differ from piano anyone?

I have grade 7 piano theory. Or was it grade 6? Hmmmm...

Piano theory & guitar theory. The same. Its all music theory.

As for how to use it... hehe, its your own journey.
