Sysex files

i would like to enquire if i am able to send sysex in my keyboard with a midi usb cable?or do i need a midi interface?

Which keyboard are you using? What is the procedure/goal you are trying to
achieve?

Sysex should work in usb.

im using the sy77 so im trying to use sysex library to send the sysex files over but theres no respond and have no clue how to.i guess its probably due to the midi usb cable that im using instead of a midi interface so i hope that anyone of you could help me.

Just sharing.

Dont think that the usb would be a problem. You need to setup the sy77 to recieve sysex.
1. Press UTILITY.
2. Press F2 (MIDI).
3. Select Channel Set and press the ENTER key.
4. Set Voice Recv Ch = omn.
5. Set Bulk Protect = off.

For older keyboard try to set the buffer for the sysex library to be lower (128 bytes?). Try Midi OX
