SCORE! early 70s Ibanez lawsuit jazz bass

A little bird had informed me that there was a possible gem hiding in a little corner of cash convertors at toa payoh. :idea:

So I went down with Mr 3notes to check out this gem out just this morning. Turns out to be an early 70s lawsuit Ibanez Jazz Bass!!! And guess what? It's $75!!!!

Black body, white pickguard, maple neck and fingerboard with black blocks and binding to boot!! Condition could be better, but the black binding is just perfect!

Looks exactly like this:

Of course, the metal hardware's crapped out, pups are not functioning, but its the freaking ideal project bass man!!!

What a steal!!! 8)

Then i'll borrow it from him on a permanent basis :wink:

Anyways the logo's been taken outta the headstock. What do you guys think the new logo should say???

Ibanez had a lawsuit cos they copied the Rickenbacker. They made a few copies before they got sued.
