Sanding neck

You may wanna use a polish instead of sanding. Sanding will damage the finish on your guitar neck.

I agree with Ryanz. I don't think it's a good idea. Scratches on the neck. For me, when it gets sticky at the neck, I wipe thoroughly then I apply guitar polish. It doesn't get sticky after that. Works for me :D.

If you REALLY want to sand, use nothing less than 1200 grit sandpaper. Polish after that. 1200 grit should get you a mirror finish.

learn to live with it - U will mess the finish ...

satin finishes only look good on plain maple necks

However if u die die gotta do it - my advice - get the 2000 grit sandpaper from the aeromodel shops (Tamiya brand is the best) and do a slow, slow even rub out

id totally vote against sanding, jsut use some dunlop or naptha that doesnt destroy the finish then use some polish, but if there are like some bumps or dents in the wood causing some small part to rise which is very very iritating jsutt use the grits that the other recommendedbut do as little as possible, but like i siad its only a last resort sorta thing
